Join the EXPANSE AI Scale-Up Academy Advisory Board

What does an AI innovation need to become a successful solution on the market? And how can emerging teams build the partnerships, market understanding and credibility they need to scale?

The EXPANSE AI Scale-Up Academy Advisory Board will bring together perspectives from industry, research, investment, funding organisations, public authorities and other demand-side actors to help answer these questions.

EXPANSE AI supports promising AI research and innovation teams in scaling their solutions and reaching the market, connecting them with investors, testing facilities and industry. Through the Scale-Up Academy, a cohort of 20–30 teams will receive support to strengthen their market readiness, partnerships and fundraising capabilities.

What will Advisory Board members do?

Members will help ensure that the Academy reflects real-world needs and market opportunities. They will be invited to:

• Review InnovAItrix, EXPANSE AI’s self-assessment framework for identifying strengths, gaps and product-market fit, as well as the Academy curriculum.
• Share real-world challenges from their sectors to help shape the challenges addressed by pilot teams.
• Identify opportunities for AI solutions to scale across sectors and value chains.

Members will also be invited to join the jury of the Scale-Up Academy Final Competition in mid-2028, where selected finalists will present their innovations.

The Advisory Board offers an opportunity to exchange perspectives with experts from across Europe and gain early insight into emerging AI innovations responding to real-world challenges.

Participation is voluntary and non-remunerated. Members will only be presented publicly on the EXPANSE AI website and LinkedIn page with their consent.

First meeting and registration

The first Advisory Board meeting will take place online on 2 November 2026.
