How can Europe turn robotics research into solutions ready for industrial deployment?

At ADRF26, this workshop will bring together researchers, industry representatives and innovation stakeholders to explore the journey from research to commercialisation.

Through two complementary discussions, Trajectory to Deployable Robotics and Scaling Robotics for Industry and Society, participants will reflect on lessons learned from EU-funded projects, challenges to industrial adoption and opportunities to scale promising robotics solutions.

Inessa Seifert (VDI/VDE-IT), COO of EXPANSE AI, will moderate the session, helping bridge the perspectives of research and industry and explore pathways towards real-world impact.

Why is this relevant to the EXPANSE AI community?

The workshop directly aligns with EXPANSE AI’s mission to help European AI and robotics innovators bring their solutions to market.

Participants will gain insights into:

  • Commercialisation: Moving from research results to market-ready solutions.
  • Scaling challenges: Overcoming barriers to industrial adoption and growth.
  • Lessons learned: Building on the experiences of EU-funded robotics projects.
  • Ecosystem connections: Engaging with researchers, industry leaders and potential partners.

The session offers an opportunity to connect Europe’s robotics research achievements with the practical needs of startups, scaleups and industry.
